Almost 10 yrs and 3 billion miles, NASA's New Horizons probe sent signal to earth from Pluto!
I hope that NASA can release pictures of higher resolutions as expected tomorrow. This has been an emotional for many, and for me as well, as growing up the dwarf planet was recognized as the 9th planet in the solar system and the only one without a flyby and with much mysteries unsolved.

TBH, I found it a bit disappointing as they were merely sharing ONE picture and spoke a few points on their findings. A day when that picture (the one in your comment) was posted they got people pretty pumped up about "seeing more" during the conference. It could have been technical problem in transmitting the data or just the typical bureaucratic/political stuff from federal agencies.
