The Sound of Silence.

在此跟大家分享一下 smile.gif

Thanks for sharing. My dad introduced me to the songs from Simon & Garfunkel when I was younger, and I liked their harmonic and soothing voices very much.

In regards to the lyrics, I feel like there are some double meanings to what they were saying.  Although not mentioned, they seem to reveal their frustration with the popular music genres of the 70s.

Thank you very much for your sharing and reply, Pearltea!

For me, what I feel is that they (Simon & Garfunkel) tried to criticize the way people communicate with each other and described it as "the sound of silence". People were not really communicating with each other, though they seemed doing that. It looks to me that the song-writers also blamed commercialism for the situation.

I love their voices too and in fact I am now listening to their songs too!  Just cannot stop listening smile.gif

Dust in the Wind.

我建議將這首歌開另一個post分享 (with warnings on explicit song names+lyrics).
