這些不算垃圾中文，很可能只是速成輸入法和近視眼惹的禍。

蛇不在香港，無法明白我這種「文字原教旨主義者」每天被逼面對文字污染的痛苦。

第一次看時不覺得有問題。
第二次時亦然。
第三次看時，不是書面語。
也不太清楚垃圾中文的定義……

秋盈姐是文字原教旨主義者，這豈不是文字納粹黨？

雖然不太明白那BR是甚麼，但看到台灣那版主因為誤解一些字詞將版友驅逐，根本就是白色恐怖，跟朱元璋、共產黨有啥分別？不值一哂。

我還是那一句，溝通要有效，用字要精準，這是尊重對方，也是尊重祖宗的文化。就是寫方言，也請寫標準的方言。粵語有很多用字十分生僻，只知其音不知其字的並不奇怪，但求盡力而為。

題外話：香港人以「仲」作為「還有」的意思，其實是寫別字；正字是「重」。「仲」並沒有「還有」的意思。

曾聽常宗豪教授說過：《古詩十九首》的「行行重行行」，原意是「行走復行走」，即不停地走，所以「重」應唸「仲」，不唸「從」。這一點，連中學老師也沒教呢。其實應早知道這一句變成了五個陽平聲連讀，很不順口。古詩韻律雖然不及近體詩嚴謹，但也不至於此。

這是否垃圾中文，見仁見智。粵語不見得是垃圾，說不定因為保留了古漢語的用字和音調，可以向聯合國申請成為文化遺產。

其實這一句有兩個「錯處」：

一、對了，不是書面語。「波」是港式粵語，是英語音譯，廣州人在口語中也少用。

二、「睹」是錯別字，應是「賭」。

Well yes, but to a certain extent, the Mainland Chinese journalists are more learned than those in Hong Kong.

Honestly, I tend to have more sympathy for those in the Chinese Mainland, simply because they are deprived of the opportunity to learn good and genuine Chinese for a number of reasons. Their education is simply unimaginable in Hong Kong.

People may say that I'm particularly harsh on fellow citizens here, because I think they do not know, let alone appreciate, how good the Hong Kong curriculum is. They start the vicious cycle of simplifying the curriculum to adapt to the needs of the lazy idiots, which in turn trains up more idiots in the years to come. While I would admit that this is something inevitable, it is equally unforgivable.

If you can't beat the idiot breeding government, join them.

Very true, and very sad indeed. That's why I'm thinking of sorting out another option elsewhere.

Normal... typing English requires no IMEs......

All governments try to breed idiots, that's a fact. Don't count on the government to properly educate you or our young generations.

What happened? Suddenly this became a english forum?

But then the average standard of english in HK isn't very high anyway, at least in this generation... Seen it so many times on other forums... Spelling mistakes/typos/grammer you name it... Not saying my english is particularly good anyway. But then idiots never show themselves easily. Usually the ones who end up as consultants, or civil servants, or some sort of 'expert'. hence IF HK does get 'full democracy' another idiot might be elected instead

It is easy to find mistakes of others and criticize, hence people would always feel that others are "idiots", but maybe if we are in their situation, we would also acts as an idiot.


Also, everyone thinks differently, A thinks that B is an idiot, B may also think that A is an idiot too. How can we judge who is right?

The 'true' idiot is one who uses long words/technical phrases, unwilling to face their mistakes, think themselves as always correct, and worst of all is when they talk, they never get to the point simply because they never had one. (What is the use of 100 page reports if it only gives statistics, stating the obvious, and past case studies without a point of originality? What is the use of 'conferences' and meetings if they never seem to reach any progress? How do the 'consultants' make money Hence why I mentioned 'certain' civil servants in the first place

It is because if they propose anything other than trivial facts, there would be room for criticism and they would be called as idiot in the other way.

Therefore, doing nothing would be their best choice
