Li Xiaoying was engaged to Wang Shaoqiang on the same day as her sister Li Huiying
divorced from Zhou Bohua.
Just days after their divorce, Li Huiying received a letter from Zhou Bohua inviting her to an opera show at Carlton Theatre, Macau. Li was more than happy to go. However, Zhou was murdered in the middle of the show. Li Huiying was then arrested and accused of murder. |

into the case, trying to find evidence to appeal for her sister.
After some time, Li Xiaoying managed to discover that Zhou had a mistress Anna Zhu before his death. She talked to Anna Zhu and in her bedroom uncovered a love letter, which was written in the name of Li Huiying, inviting Zhou to an opera show at Carlton Theatre in Macau. Li Xiaoying was extremely puzzled and suspicious and took this letter away with her. However, a gangster Robert Song stole the letter away from Li Xiaoying after midnight. |

It was then unveiled that the owner of Carlton Theatre Liu Zongming was Anna Zhu's
former lover. Envious of Zhou who took away Anna's heart, Liu employed Song to
murder him. Song had hoped to blackmail Liu for his secret but was then killed in
their struggle. Knowing that Li Xiaoying had been trying to appeal against her
sister's charge, Liu was planning to kill Li Xiaoying. Fortunately Wang managed
to fetch the police before Liu could succeed.
